| | | | | The story of the Cesàri Hotel is still unfolding. It began in 1787 when a licence to run the hotel was issued to Stefano Cesàri during the papacy of Pio VI Braschi. The licence, which is a unique document in the history of Hotels in Rome, has pride of place in the hall of the hotel. The Cesàri, which Stendhal was very fond of, accommodated such illustrious personages as Mazzini and Garibaldi, and such historical figures as Momsen and Gregorovius. The preparation for the establishment of the Repubblica Romana in 1849 was carried out here. From January 1 st 1899 till to day, the Hotel has belonged to the Palumbo family, who passed it down from father to son. It has been completely restored inside and its elegant, sophisticated atmosphere surrounds the guests, ensuring that their holiday in Rome is unforgettable.
The 47 rooms are elegantly furnished and provide a complete range of amenities and facilities.
Our rich italian buffet breakfast will be a very good start for your day, offering a large variety of fresh bread, croissants, cakes, marmelades, honey and yogurt, as well as the most appetizing selection of italian salumi and cheeses.
Each season will bring to your table a large choice of fresh fruit. And unforgettable, our "espresso" coffee and "cappuccino".
The Cesàri Hotel is situated in a quiet street in the old part of Rome, in the historical and artistic centre of the city, between the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. It is only a few minutes from the Stazione Termini, from the train that goes to the Leonardo da Vinci airport, from buses and the Underground. A short and extremely pleasant walk will take you amongst the most prestigious shopping streets in Rome, such as Via Condotti, Via Veneto and Piazza di Spagna, where you will find the show rooms belonging to the most celebrated Italian designers, such as Armani, Versace and Valentino. All the most famous theatres and fashionable restaurants are only a stone's throw away.
